Ph.D. Programme at the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF)
The Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) is proud to offer a robust Ph.D. programme recognized by both The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and the University of Madras. This programme provides a unique opportunity for doctors with an M.D. degree, as well as postgraduate students with an M.Phil. or M.Sc., to pursue advanced research in the field of diabetes and related sciences.
MDRF imparts interdisciplinary training to doctoral candidates from clinical, paramedical, and basic science backgrounds, in collaboration with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai, and the University of Madras, Chepauk, Chennai. The Departments of Diabetology, Ophthalmology, and Biochemistry are recognized by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, while the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology is recognized by the University of Madras for conducting Ph.D. programmes.
